The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in Abu Dhabi alongside the Gary Players 72-Par Championship Saadiyat Beach Golf Course will open in the final quarter of 2011.The project developed by TDIC comprises of a 330 bedroom hotel, residences of 259 apartments and 33 large luxury villas, as well as restraunts, lounges and conferencing facilities.

FINAN were involved in the design engineering of formwork and scaffolding solutions associated with the concrete works, with equipment on a sale and rental basis. FINAN also provided frontline site support in terms of training, temporary works inspections and pre-pour sign off.

OASIS HOSPITAL DEVELOPMENT –AL AIN – ABU DHABI.2011

The Oasis Hospital Development in Al Ain is a modern hospital development beside the site of the existing hospital. The Hospital has just celebrated 50 years and is one of the oldest in the region serving the residents of Al Ain since 1960. The new 270 bed hospital with the best medical and equipment technology, architectural design that respects the culture and traditions of the UAE will open in early 2012.

FINAN undertook the complete concrete frame construction works as a package. The job involved the construction of the 44,000 m2 formed area with a tight time schedule. The hospital includes a large basement structure and an additional 5 floors above. FINAN were responsible for labour and a management team associated with all reinforcement fixing, formwork erects and dismantles and concrete placing. The project has allowed FINAN to strengthen it’s portfolio of capability providing an attractive offer for main contractors going forward.

AL FALAH COMMUNITY PROJECT – ABU DHABI.2011

The Al Falah Community project in Abu Dhabi comprises of 5000 villas ranging from 3,4and 5 bedroom. This forms part of the future Emirati Housing Scheme of 50,000 units. The project developed by Aldar Properties PJSC will eventually be a complete new town with retail, schools and hospitals.

FINAN were responsible for the design and supply of the scaffolding system for upto 800 villas. Working for our client Main Contractor SPK Construction we have been able to create a strong profile and assist in delivery of this prestigious project.

Palermo Italy - 2009

Here we have been involved in providing design engineering solutions for a multi level basement car park. We employed the use of our wall climbing systems using the P300 wall panel system. Also the P300 panel System was used in conjunction with the heavy duty TR300 A Frames for casting the single sided walls.

After casting the walls, slab system formwork was employed for the large area slab construction.

The project was completed to high standard on time and to budget.

Viaduct Construction Argenta, Italy - 2009

We were involved in engineering the main support system for this viaduct project in Argenta Italy.

We produced a customized design for the 9 metre high columns using the P300 panel system as well a customized circular columns.

For the main slab support we used the T28 slab support system topped with the PL20 primary and secondary beams.

The project was completed to time and budget with the highest quality requirements satisfied.

MP Scaffolding System - 2009

On project 1 we were involved in providing a total access solution for our client involved in the refurbishment of the San Carlo Theatre in Napoli.

We provided the solution using the MP multi-directional scaffolding system .

We designed a solution providing the first main access 100 percent boarded with aluminium boards At 17.5 metres high. Then we provided complete access to the large ceiling area and arches by means of a designed suspended access at 33.35 metres high.

Equally important for us in our considerations was the safety of the erection and dismantle crews and the operatives using the system.

The next project shows the use of the efficient MP multi-directional scaffolding to provide access and complete cover during the refurbishment of an oil refinery silo. We provided complete side access to the top with side protection sheeting, topped with a double pitched roof and covering

Residential Development Lignano, Italy - 2009

On this fast track residential project we deployed the use of the highly efficient aluminium slabform system. The system is very lightweight, robust and with high operative outputs.The standard panel is 150cms x 75 cms and weighs only 15.6 kgs. The system was supported on the highload aluminium props and the steel props.

The use of the system allowed us to manage the everchanging geometry on the floor spaces as we moved up the building during construction. Also usung this system allowed us the ability to remove all the panels and beams required for the next floor level while retaining the props in place as back propping through using the quick release mechanism attached to each prop.

Residential Building Completed Calgary, Canada - 2009

Here we were involved in delivery of a residential building . We were employed to provide all temporary works formwork design for our client As well as the supply of the forming equipment.

For the basement areas we provided the P300 wall panel system complete with all propping and safety access. The panel system allowed the client the ability to construct any wall size or shape and more importantly change wall sizes in any working shift easily and still maintain the ability to pour within the same day.

As the building progressed upward we employed the use of the highly efficient table forming system. The ST110 is a large area truss table system for large area formwork requirements including highrise.
